The Hadar neighborhood, located in the heart of Haifa, has been the center of the city for many years.
In recent years, however, the façade of the neighborhood – with its 40,000 residents – has changed significantly. Residents with high socio-economic abilities have left for better locations. Today, most of the neighborhood’s residents are of weakened backgrounds. The population is mainly composed of new immigrants from the former Soviet Union and Ethiopia, orthodox Jews, and Arabs.
